It all feels so right though it is early…Things are starting to feel oh so comfortable…I wake up every morning asking myself these four ?’s…

The first thing I will usually ask myself is…”was it colder than heck last night or what?” some nights feel worse than others, but of course I will survive. The second thing is…”I wonder how many dogs were died last night,” because every night there is a nonstop outcry and barking and growling of dogs. Those of you that have been here know what I am talking about. The third ? is, “do I have what it takes to courageously take, what I feel is the coldest shower known to man, when it is so darn cold out?” The last and final question I ask myself and one that brings peace to me each and every day is…”Lord, what is it that you will reveal to me in this chaotic city of Kathmandu? “I am so thankful for the opportunity to be in such a city that has so much to offer. Being able to walk the streets knowing that God is with me is comforting and encouraging. It solidifies my reason being there.

In my beginning stages of what is to come, I have been able to meet with a couple key influences of my previous trips to Nepal. One, is Bishnu; he has started a children’s home called Morning star. He has been involved for over 20 years unofficially and officially. His heart and experience to show the children God’s love is irreplaceable. He models a life worthy of the calling. A man that was kicked out of his Brhamin family and lived on the streets with the kids was soon able to start a home. This man is very influential in Nepal.

The second influential person thus far is the pastor of a local yet thriving church. His name is Ranjit. He and his wife, sarah, moved from india to minister to the street children and start a church. His church is growing and growing because of the passion Ranjit exemplifies of loving Christ Jesus and how Christ has been faithful in his life. A man that once was a drug user among the street children, now has found the truth in Jesus Christ, and is obedient to Gods calling on his life to witness to the very type that he once was. Along with his string church and street children ministry, Ranjit and Sarah have added a new vision to their ministry; A vision to rehabilitate women victim to the sex industry, abusive relationships, etc.

These two men have been influential to me because I see what we talk about so much and only hope to do in action. They give me no other reason but to join the revolution to serve a God that is way beyond my understanding. I look forward to meeting with john because he is another man that has been influential to me in wanting to work with Tiny Hands International. He is the president of the organization so his heart and desire to serve the God of the universe is evident. I look forward to working alongside him.

There is so much I could say still, but I will save it for later. Peace be with you all.

Hands, feet, words, attitude…

I am so happy that you have people who have touched your life so much working along side of you. I know that God is going to work through you and use you for more than you can imagine! I hate that you are so cold! I think I need to send you a blanket. You know maybe you just forgot to pack it or something;-) Keep winning over the hearts of the people Rho! I'm so proud of you.
